Business Insider reports that the latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) shows a near-record number of jobs available in March. The number of unemployed-per-job is down to 1.5/job. And the time to hire is up to 26 days.
According to the article, “these trends also seem to point toward a gap in what employers want and what employees can offer. Simply put, it seems clear there is a skills gap in the US economy that is nagging the labor market.”
