Sumayo Saed was named a 2016 state runner-up in the fourth annual Minnesota Aspirations for Women in Computing awards. The senior at STEP Academy Charter School in Inver Grove Heights acknowledged that she didn’t know much about IT before becoming a Genesys Works intern. AdvanceITMn.org, which sponsors the award, and Genesys Works, which brings under-represented populations into IT internships, are two great organizations working to keep Minnesota’s IT community strong.
