For decades, Parade Magazine, the magazine supplement to the Sunday newspaper, has been running a “What People Earn” edition. This year’s salaries range from a bridge operator in Seattle ($53,575) to a Walmart Sales Associate in Wisconsin ($20,615). It’s fun to read about jobs you’d never thought of–lox slicer, for example.
There’s a separate report on celebrities–Anderson Cooper and Stephen Curry are tied at $11 million. The CEO of Twitter and Square takes a symbolic $2.75 annual salary (with stock valued at over $1 billion he can afford the beau geste.)
